Family Partnership Coordinator

Thank you for accepting the family partnership coordinator position within your service unit. The family partnership campaign provides the financial support that enables girls and adults to achieve the mission and goals of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Girl Scout parents, volunteers and paid staff join community members and area businesses to form a funding partnership that invests in the development of today’s girls.

Three Major Roles of the Family Partnership Special Event Coordinator:
  •  Organize and implement all aspects of at least one service unit family partnership event or activity designed to achieve the service unit goal.
  • Share with volunteers and families how the campaign benefits girls in their service unit/community.
  • Work with service team to coordinate the family partnership plan and communicate progress toward achieving the service unit goal.
Your role is integral in coordinating a strong, deliberate, plan of action for the family partnership campaign with the service unit team, so that volunteers, parents and the community understand the importance of supporting the campaign and have the opportunity to contribute throughout the year.  

By accepting this position, you are agreeing to be a good steward of all Girl Scout finances and records and follow all Girl Scouts of Western Ohio financial and volunteer policies and procedures. This position does require approval through Girl Scouts of Western Ohio volunteer application process, position orientation and a current membership in Girl Scouts of the USA.

All appointed volunteers must complete two required trainings within six months of their appointment. The two required trainings include Girl Scout Fundamentals and position training.  Girl Scouts of Western Ohio recommends the following training sequence to help our volunteers best prepare themselves for their work with the service unit.
