Why be the early bird?
Do it for the girls!  Be prepared and plan ahead!
Early Bird is the absolute best time to renew memberships and register new members to your troop for the 2014-15 Membership Year.  This year, the Early Bird Campaign is more exciting than ever.  Check out the 2014-15 Early Bird Campaign flier for more details.  By renewing your girls’ membership now, your troop will be ready for when schools starts up in the fall.  The 2014-15 Membership Year runs October 1, 2014–September 30, 2015.

Why is Early Bird Important?
  • Your girls will be ready to participate in the Fall Product Sale.
  • You can better plan for your fall activities—you will know who’s coming back!
  • The Early Birds catch the worms, or in our case the incentives.  Check out the 2014-15 Early Bird Campaign flier for more details.

Tips for a successful Early Bird
  • Best option!  Follow the “Troop Leader Access to Troop Management” in eBiz to renew your troop members online.  See the eBiz Quick Start Guide for details.
  • Consider using troop funds to pay for all or just a portion of the girls’ membership fees.  It simplifies the process and parents will appreciate it!
  • Troops can use Cookie Dough to pay for membership fees, by simply attaching the Cookie Dough to the paper Girl Membership Form.
  • Financial assistance for the $15 membership fee may be requested on the paper registration form if family cannot afford membership fee.
  • Involve girls in investigating and planning for Early Bird and the opportunities available to them next year.
  • The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio website, volunteer services network (VSN) and GSWOblog  are packed with valuable information.  Be certain to use these resources as you plan for Early Bird and the 2014-15 Membership Year.
  • Ready to renew?  Visit eBiz to register today!
  • Download the Early Bird flier to share with parents and other volunteers.
