What are Community Sponsored Opportunities?Community Sponsored Opportunities are hosted by community partners who offer opportunities for girls to enhance their Girl Scout Leadership Experience. These community partners identify ways they can help girls work toward achieving the Girl Scout Mission. These events usually are offered on specific dates and times at the partner organization’s location. The
Community Sponsored Opportunities list is kept on our site and printed in the annual version of the program opportunity publication.Â
Organizations are asked to:

- Girls will understand themselves and their values
- Girl will use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
- Girls will care about, inspire and team with others locally and globally.
- Girls will act to make the world a better place. Â
Â
Follow Safety Activity Checkpoints for the type of opportunity offered.
Meet the developmental needs of the participant’s grade level. Â
Community Sponsored Opportunities allow girls to meet other girl members and non-members of Girl Scouts in their community. Partner organizations can choose to offer opportunities that are individual or troop based. Inclusion in this listing is not an endorsement of these agencies. Â
