SITE RESERVATION REQUEST PROCEDURES

 
Follow the procedures listed under the appropriate type of reservation group.
 
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Member - wanting to reserve a camp property
 
ONLINE: This is the preferred method. It's faster and easier for you, less expensive for the council, and it's green!
 
  1. Select the property from the Property Descriptions page that you would like to reserve.
  2. Click the Reserve Now button to go to the online reservation site.

 

PAPER:  Please remember when submitting a paper form that reservation requests may take up to a week or more to process and that availability of your requests may change during that time.

  1. Complete a Site Reservation Request Form​ in its entirety - incomplete forms will delay placement.
  2. Mail, fax or deliver to the appropriate Girl Scout Center. No reservations will be taken by phone.

 

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Service Unit Campouts

New easier process!  For more information, click here.

  1. Use a paper form, scanned and emailed, faxed or mailed to the GS office. (not online) 
  2.  Pay a $10 deposit per unit, per night reserved.
  3.  Pay the balance due no later than two months (same date) before campout reservation. 
  4.  May cancel one or more units (or change the date) for a full refund up to the designated date (link on designated date), but never less than 60 days before reservation. 
  5.  May cancel (or change the reservation date) but will lose deposit if change made more than 30 days before reservation. 
  6.  Agree to pay the full cost of unit reservation if cancel or change date less than 30 days before reservation.
 
NON-Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Members
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio welcomes troops/groups from other councils to visit our properties. No online reservations available for outside troops/groups. Please follow the steps below.
  1. Complete a Site Reservation Request Form​ in its entirety - incomplete forms will delay placement.
  2. Mail, fax or deliver to the appropriate Girl Scout Center. No reservations will be taken by phone.

 

All other outside groups - please contact us for specific instructions.

 

RESERVATION PERIODS

HOLIDAY USAGE
 
The camps will be closed and not available for use on the following days:
 
 
 
Thanksgiving Weekend 
 
(i.e. Wednesday evening through Sunday afternoon).
 
 
 
Christmas/New Years
 
December 23 - January 1
 
 
 
 
 
PAYMENT
 FULL PAYMENT is due at the time of reservation - both online and using a paper form. 
 
CHANGES/CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
 
  1. Cancellations or changes to the reservation can only be made by the person listed on the online reservation or on the Site Reservation Request Form
  2. All cancellations or changes must be made in writing (mail or e-mail) to the appropriate regional office. 
  3. Refunds are available if notification is given to the registrar 30 days or more in advance. 
  4. WEATHER—If in the judgment of the responsible adult weather conditions are unsafe, and they notify the appropriate office prior to the intended arrival time; a refund may be requested in writing.
  5. ILLNESS/EMERGENCY—Notify the appropriate office of cancellations prior to intended arrival; a credit or refund may be requested in writing
  6. NO-SHOWS—When a troop or group fails to use the campsite as scheduled, without prior notice to the appropriate office no refunds will be allowed.
