A tiered proceeds plan is a motivational tool that rewards troops for achieving higher per girl averages at all age levels. Troops receive proceeds on every package sold during the cookie sale. Troop proceeds are determined by the total number of packages sold divided by the number of girls participating in the sale. 

*Girl Scout Cadette/Senior/Ambassador (C/S/A) troops can elect to forgo recognitions and take an extra 5 cents per package. Troops taking this option are still eligible to earn all sale patches offered.
